You pick skills mid-run with no undo button, which makes every offer a small gamble. This Capybara GO skills tier list ranks the whole pool from S+ down to D. Each entry shows what the skill actually does. It also covers gems, where a single stat line separates an S rating from an F. Skills and gems are judged together here because neither works alone. A combo skill tree with lightning gems is just wasted screen time.
How the Skill System Works in Capybara GO?
Skills come as offers during a run rather than as a permanent loadout. You choose from a handful each time, and your picks vanish when the run ends.
Two rules govern smart picking.
- Rarity pools are shared– taking low value skills crowds out the Legendary and Mythic options you actually want later.
- Prerequisites chain– some skills only appear once you own their prerequisite. Grabbing filler early poisons the pool for the rest of the run.
That second point is the one most guides skip. Declining a mediocre skill is often stronger than taking it, because you keep your late run offers clean.

One more thing worth internalising. Late in the story, damage beats survivability. Boss health pools are enormous and runs end on a turn limit. Outlasting an enemy you cannot kill still counts as a loss.
Capybara GO Skills Tier List
S+ Tier Skills
These are the Capybara GO best skills, full stop. Take them on sight, because each one reshapes a run.
Battle-Hardened carries a condition. Once your damage reduction already sits at cap from pets and gear, it does nothing at all. Newer accounts get far more from it than established ones.

S Tier Skills

A Tier Skills
Strong picks that depend on what else you have taken.
B and C Tier Skills
Filler and specialists. Take them when the offer is weak, or when they slot into a narrow build.
- B tier worth noting– Tyrant, Berserker, Spell Master, Bolt Dagger, Critical Recovery, Enhanced Basic Attack, Enhanced Rage Skill, Healing Dagger, Thunderstorm, Counter Soul.
- C tier specialists– Pyromancer, Burning Proficiency, Dagger Mastery, Alchemist, Hits Recovery, Frozen Touch. Each needs a build already leaning that way.
Frozen Touch illustrates the trap perfectly. It shreds normal enemies and does nothing to bosses, so it looks great right up until the fight that matters.

D Tier Skills
Worth flagging a genuine disagreement here. Some rankings place Revive and Magic Spear in S tier while others put both in D. The split comes down to content type. A revive matters more in a run you might lose than in a boss race.
The Five Class Skills
These transform your build and always cost you something. Never take one blind.
- Werewolf– boosts Combo and Counter damage, sacrificing Skill DMG. Only for pure basic attack builds.
- Wizard– Skill damage up, Combo and Counter rate down. Correct only if your combo rate is already near zero.
- Vampire– big lifesteal, less Skill DMG. Pairs with the same builds Werewolf wants.
- Tamer– large pet damage increase at the cost of crit rate. Viable with heavily invested pets.
- Orc– crit rate and crit damage up, but you cannot regain Rage. Fine if your build ignores Rage skills.
The pattern is consistent. Each class skill trades one damage type for another. It only pays off when your gear already leans that direction.
Capybara GO Gems Tier List
Gems slot into weapon, armour, ring, and accessory. Nearly a thousand exist across nine rarities, from Normal up to Peerless.
The same gem scales dramatically with rarity. Chasing high rarity versions of good stats beats hoarding mediocre ones.

Gem Rankings by Stat
Global ATK is the only gem rated S universally. It boosts every damage type at once, which no specialised gem can match unless your build is extremely narrow.
Counter DMG earns its F rating fairly. Counter builds struggle in story progression, so the gem supports a strategy that already underperforms.
Armour and accessory gems follow different logic. Armour gems reach 15% Final Damage Reduction and 35% Basic Attack reduction. Accessory gems cap near 35% reduction, or 45% on elemental types.

Best Builds in Capybara Go for PvE
Story progression rewards damage that compounds over a long fight.
- Sustained damage build– War Veteran, Crit Mastery, Trinity Force, Royal Crown. Global ATK gems throughout. The safest general purpose setup.
- Dagger build– Combo Dagger, Dagger Cooldown, Bolt Dagger, Rage Dagger with the Whisperer. Physical DMG gems support it well.
- Lightning build– Shock Discharge, Multiple Bolt, Thunderbolt, Super Bolt alongside Reaper’s Staff. Shock Discharge alone can neutralise boss Rage skills.
- Freeze control build– Deadly Spikes, Killing Freeze, Basic Attack Icy Spikes. Stunlocking replaces damage reduction as your defence.
Notice what the top PvE builds share. Every one stacks a trigger source with something that multiplies those triggers.
PvP Meta Builds
PvP flips several priorities. Fights are shorter, so ramping skills lose value and burst gains it.
- Counter build– the exception to the counter rule. Durian Hammer and Seles Suffering are specifically recommended for PvP counter play, despite being poor for story.
- Crit burst build– Heavy Attack, Crit Mastery, Orc if you skip Rage entirely. Front-loaded damage wins short fights.
- Survivability build– Shrink Spell and Frostbite to cut enemy output, since damage reduction caps against enemy damage percentages in PvP.
Skill damage reduction matters far more here than in PvE. Target roughly 200% in both basic and skill reduction, then push toward 300%.
Capybara Go Combo Build Guide
Combo is the most beginner friendly archetype, and it scales properly into late game.
Build it in this order:
- Take Combo Mastery whenever offered. It is the engine.
- Add Combo and Combo Spirit for raw rate.
- Layer Trinity Force for crit and counter on top.
- Pick up Combo Dagger if daggers feature in your build.
- Consider Werewolf only if you have taken no skill damage sources.
Pair it with Blade of Justice, whose Judgement effect makes enemies take 50% additive combo damage for two rounds. Combo DMG gems support this, though Global ATK still outperforms them.
The mistake to avoid is splitting. A half combo, half skill build earns the class bonus from neither. Committing fully to either one beats it.
Latest Capybara Go Skills and Gems News
Skill rankings here reflect Version 1.9.1 from mid August 2026. Gem ratings come from data verified through Version 1.7, so check newer stat lines against your own numbers.
Abyssal Realm gems sit in an odd position currently. They can no longer be obtained, and whether existing copies stay usable has not been confirmed.
Weapon specific skill priorities continue shifting with adventurer levels. Rage Proficiency, for instance, becomes a net positive on Blade of Justice builds once you reach an 8 star adventurer.

Capybara Go Skills and Gems FAQ
War Veteran for most builds. Its 15% ATK per round compounds until bosses fall inside the turn limit.
Global ATK at the highest rarity you can reach. It is the only gem rated S for both PvE and PvP across all weapons.
Rarely. It activates below 30% HP and increases damage taken, which is the worst possible combination at low health.
No. Skills are picked fresh each run. Gems, gear, and pets are your permanent progression.
Whichever matches your existing damage type. Werewolf for combo and counter, Wizard for skills, Tamer for pet builds.
Counter builds cap out during story progression. The gem works, but the strategy behind it does not scale.
